Edukasi Monitoring Serangan Hama Kumbang Kwangwung Pada Tanaman Kelapa di Kecamatan Gumukmas Jember

Abstract
Mitra yang menjadi khalayak sasaran adalah kelompok tani Tani Rukun 1 yang berlokasi di Desa Menampu Kecamatan Gumukmas Kabupaten Jember dengan jarak sekitar 50 km dari Politeknik Negeri Jember. Permasalahan mitra adalah serangan hama kwangwung (Oryctes rhinoceros) sangat tinggi pada tanaman kelapa. Solusi pemecahan masalah berupa transfer ilmu pengetahuan dalam bentuk edukasi kepada mitra tentang monitoring hama meliputi identifikasi hama kwangwung, gejala serangan hama dan resiko kerusakan yang terjadi pada tanaman kelapa yang terserang sangat diperlukan agar petani mampu mengenal dan melakukan upaya pengendalian secara dini sehingga kerugian akibat serangan hama kwangwung dapat ditekan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam 3 tahap meliputi survey dan koordinasi, transfer ilmu pengetahuan dan evaluasi. Hasil kegiatan memperlihatkan bahwa edukasi dan transfer ilmu pengetahuan tentang hama kwangwung pada mitra berhasil diterapkan dan memberi perubahan pemahaman mitra secara berkelanjutan.
